What is Drill Seeding?
While hydroseeding places the seed on the top of the soil, drill seeding deposits the seed just below the surface. There are several benefits to this method of seeding:
For many with acreages hydroseeding can be out of reach financially. Drill seeding is a much quicker process and thus much less expensive. Drill seeding is just 1/3 the cost of hydroseeding!
Placing the seeds below the surface of the soil gives opportunity for good moisture rentention. Seeds with moisture leave you with a better, more full lawn compared to broadcast seeding.
Seeds below the ground are better protected from washout. This results in even grass growth across the property.
